The dog park we were a part of had a sign posted that no kids beneath 8 were allowed in the dog yards. There was a fenced shelter for people and dogs that had gates connecting it to the yards and the kids could be in there but not go into the open areas.
Yeah I would say if the kids are your children then it’s OK but not with others kids because you don’t know what the kids can do. I ne`er had too but if there were a nestling in the enclosure chasing dogs I would definitely approach the parent and warn them that not all dogs are fitting with children and they could get hurt. Actually I am a capsule more take charge than that and if the child were chasing my dog and the parent didn’t stop them I would likely take them by the hand and walk them to the parent explaining that it’s not safe to be chasing the big dogs whether something like that. Let the genitor freak out that someone is touching their child and perchance they will leave.
